Incidents of road accidents, break-ins, physical injuries, and fires reported by Polish law enforcement
In a series of incidents and accidents that occurred over the weekend, several areas in the region experienced unexpected events.
Fire in a Warehouse in Reutlingen
Firefighters, rescue services, and police were called to a strong smoke development in a warehouse on Schelmenreute Way, Reutlingen, on Sunday morning. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and it is unclear whether any items were stolen. Approximately 200 guests gathered at the designated assembly point, and one person was taken to a clinic for examination as a precaution.
Tractor Fire in Lautlingen
A burning tractor led to the deployment of firefighters and police in Lautlingen on Sunday evening. The fire department successfully extinguished the fire of the Same brand tractor quickly and prevented the flames from spreading to a building.
Bicycle Accident in Bad Urach
A woman riding her bike on the bike path from Bad Urach towards Dettingen around 8 pm fell in a left curve with a slight incline. The woman, who appeared to have mental health issues, was transferred to a specialist clinic. No injuries were reported in this incident.
Fire in a Multi-Family House in Bernhausen
Firefighters, rescue services, and police were called to a strong smoke development in a multi-family house on Ludwigstraße in Bernhausen on Sunday afternoon. Altercation at a Fast-Food Restaurant in Lange Straße
An altercation occurred between a 43-year-old woman and parts of the staff at a fast-food restaurant in Lange Straße on Sunday evening. The woman attacked the staff without cause, allegedly hitting two employees and verbally assaulting them.
False Alarms and Accidents
A false alarm occurred at a hotel in Diesel Street, Echterdingen on Sunday morning. In a separate incident, a false alarm was triggered by a plastic bread basket left on a stove. No significant damage was visible in either of these incidents.
In a third incident, a woman was lightly injured and taken to a hospital after falling off her bike in Bad Urach on Sunday evening. In a fifth incident, there was a false alarm at a hotel in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, but no further details were provided.
Wildlife Accident in Münsingen
In a tragic incident, a 15-year-old boy was severely injured in a wildlife accident early Sunday morning in Münsingen. The boy collided with a crossing fawn while riding his e-bike on Grafenecker Street and was taken to a clinic by relatives. Unfortunately, the fawn involved in the accident sustained fatal injuries.
Motorcycle Accident in Trochtelfingen
A 17-year-old was injured in a motorcycle accident in Trochtelfingen on Saturday afternoon. The teenager was riding his small motorcycle in the roundabout on Hörschwager Street around 3:20 pm and left it at the exit towards Sonnenbühl-Erpfingen. The damage to the two-wheeler is estimated to be several hundred euros.
Break-In at an Elementary School in Schiller Street
Several people broke into an elementary school on Schiller Street on Sunday evening. The break-in occurred around 9:45 pm, and the unknown persons had already left by the time police arrived. No injuries were reported, and the extent of the damage caused is yet to be determined.
The police station in Metzingen is continuing the investigation into the incident in Lange Straße, while the police post in Plochingen has taken over the investigation regarding the fire in Lautlingen. The police are also investigating the break-in at the elementary school in Schiller Street.
