Incident at a Food Market, House Burglary, Cable Theft Incidents, E-scooter Theft, Overlooked Cyclists, Alcohol-Related Road Accidents Reported
In the past few days, several incidents have been reported across the Hesse region, ranging from traffic accidents to burglaries and thefts.
On Tuesday evening, an intoxicated driver of a Ford attempted to flee after a traffic accident in Eschborn. The accident occurred on Bundesstraße 8 and resulted in property damage totalling €19,000. Despite no publicly available records identifying the person responsible, the fleeing driver was apprehended by witnesses. A breath alcohol test showed a value above 2 promille, and a subsequent blood test was taken. The driver's license was confiscated, and the Criminal Police have taken up the investigation. On the same day, at 18:05, a physical assault occurred in a supermarket on Niederhofheimer Straße, Hofheim am Taunus. The assailant, described as a woman around 35 years old, approximately 160 cm tall, with a slim build, shoulder-length blonde hair, and a Central European appearance, is suspected of causing minor injuries to a customer. The Hofheim police are taking tips at (06192) 2079 - 0.
Over the past few days, cable thieves struck in Hattersheim am Main, gaining unauthorized access to a construction site on Schulstraße and stealing approximately 35 meters of high-voltage cable worth around 800 EUR. Unknown individuals also gained access to a property and entered several rooms, stealing valuable items and cash before fleeing undetected.
Between Thursday, 28th November 2024, and Tuesday, 3rd December 2024, burglars broke into a single-family home in Hofheim-Wildsachsen, Am Lotzenwald, and made off with valuables.
On Tuesday, 3rd December 2024, between 17:15 and 19:21, thieves stole an E-Scooter worth 450 EUR at the Kriftel train station, Zeilsheimer Weg.
