In the modern digital era, it's revealed that approximately eight out of every ten Spanish pharmacies are operating using posits and WhatsApp platforms.

Spanish pharmacies are undergoing a gradual shift towards digital management, but the process is far from complete. According to recent findings, eight out of ten pharmacies in Spain still rely on paper notes and WhatsApp messages for their internal management.

This transition towards digital management is being spearheaded by Esther Armora, the Digital Transformation Manager at the Spanish General Council of Pharmacists. Armora is responsible for the digital implementation in Spanish pharmacies, aiming to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

One significant advancement in this digital transformation is the fully implemented electronic prescription in Spain. This shift has undoubtedly modernised the pharmaceutical sector, making it more efficient and environmentally friendly.

However, the internal management of Spanish pharmacies is not entirely digital. Many pharmacies are yet to adopt digital solutions for their day-to-day operations. This situation presents an opportunity for further improvement and growth in the digital sphere.
