In the central station, an individual found unconscious and now detained.
On August 26, 2025, a routine control by the Federal Police at Dresden Central Station led to the arrest of a 19-year-old German man. The arrest occurred early in the morning, around 00:30, as officers found the man sleeping in the dome hall of the station.
The arrest was due to a warrant issued by the Dresden Regional Court. The man was wanted for a series of offenses, including benefit fraud, theft, property damage, forgery of documents, attempted computer fraud, and embezzlement.
Upon further investigation, the officers discovered a stolen mobile phone and a pocket knife on the arrested individual. The mobile phone was found to have been taken from a post office a few days prior, as the 19-year-old claimed to have found it there and kept it since it was not locked. This claim led to an additional report for embezzlement.
The officers also found a readily accessible pocket knife, leading to a separate report for a violation of the Weapons Act.
After completion of the police measures, the man was taken into custody in a detention facility. He was then taken to the Federal Police Station at the central station for further proceedings.
