In Forchtenberg, Vodafone constructs infrastructure: initial limitations followed by enhanced mobile connectivity.

Vodafone Expands Network in Hohenlohe District

Vodafone, one of the world's largest telecommunications companies, is driving infrastructure expansion in Germany. The company aims to reach two-thirds of all German households with gigabit speed, as part of its ongoing efforts to improve connectivity across the country.

In September 2025, Vodafone will conduct construction works on a local mobile station in Forchtenberg-Sindringen. The project is an important part of Vodafone's network expansion in the Hohenlohe district, where mobile data traffic is growing rapidly at an annual growth rate of over 30%.

During the construction period, the mobile station will not be available, and mobile traffic will be routed via surrounding stations. Temporary restrictions for individual customers, such as weaker network or no reception, cannot be completely avoided. However, Vodafone apologizes for any inconvenience and asks for customers' understanding.

The construction work involves installing additional broadband antennas to create a new mobile data highway for the area. This will help strengthen the broadband capacities in Vodafone's mobile network, ensuring that the growing demand for data can be met effectively.

Matthias Lorenz, the General Director of Vodafone Germany during the network expansion project, emphasized the importance of the project. "We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible service," he said. "This expansion project is a significant step towards achieving that goal."

Vodafone Germany is a leading communication corporation in Germany, with over 30 million mobile, over 10 million broadband, and around 12 million TV customers. The company also connects over 175 million devices to the Internet of Things.

Vodafone respects and values all people, regardless of their ethnic origin, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, belief, culture, or religion. The company is committed to diversity and has various measures promoting work-life balance and networks for women, fathers, or LGBT+.

Vodafone's goal is to be carbon neutral by 2025 and net-zero emissions by 2040, with 100% of its power consumption currently covered by renewable energies. The company is making significant strides towards a sustainable future, ensuring that its operations have minimal impact on the environment.
