In an impressive display, Brian Craig Claims Victory at RGPS Tulsa Main Event, Pocketing $70,169 in Prizes
Alright, poker fanatics! Gather 'round and get ready for the lowdown on this year's RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) kickoff. Brian Craig slammed down the first Main Event title of 2025 and pocketed a cool $70,169! Ready to relive every thrilling moment? Here we go!
Poker passion was in the air as a whopping 517 players staked their claim within the $361,900 prize pool guarantee. Only 63 walked away with cold hard cash, but every soul dreamt of snagging the black RGPS ring. Our Kansas grinder, Brian Craig, was the one realizing the dream, having started in fifteenth place. With patience as his trump card, Craig outlasted the competition, took the lead, and never looked back!
Craig weathered the tournament's highs and lows, whisking away wins every thirty minutes, only to lose for a full hour straight. Keeping his cool through it all, Craig's unwavering composure bolstered his endurance, earning him the title against Mike Travis. Travis started strong with a three-to-one chip lead after eliminating most of the final table. But Craig turned the game around in under an hour, proving that not all is lost when the odds are stacked against you.
A proud semipro, Craig's poker winnings before this victory stood at around $75,789. A close second place in his poker career, his latest triumph saw him nearly double his lifetime earnings, replenishing his tournament bankroll and keeping the dreams alive.
The final table was a powder keg of tension, with plenty of poker legends and newcomers squaring off. As dust settled, we witnessed epic showdowns like Ashley "PokerFace Ash" Frank finishing 13th and securing third place in another event the same day, while facing bitter elimination against Rosmel Munoz.
Brian Craig's new titles have earned him a coveted spot at the $300 Dream Seat Invitational in November 2025. For now, though, it's time for Craig to rest and plot his next move: "The money is fantastic, but the title and the memories matter."
Get your tickets to the midnight shows, folks, because the RGPS adventure isn't about to stop! Next month, the poker wars are headed to Jamul Casino in San Diego. Will we witness another dramatic upheaval? Only time will tell. Keep checking our site as the RGPS journey is just warming up!
