Improving Swimming Skills in Assistants is Advocated
The city and local swimming association have joined forces to launch an exciting initiative aimed at benefiting the community. The German Swimming Federation (Deutscher Schwimm-Verband e.V.) is organising and conducting a volunteer training programme for swimming lessons at the Swimming Performance Center Kuellenhahn on November 22 and 23, and online on November 19.
Interested parties are invited to apply and will be trained to support teaching staff and instructors as honorary staff. The aim of this initiative is to increase the range of swimming courses and make as many children as possible into safe swimmers.
The training will consist of both practical sessions and online e-learning units. On November 19, there will be an online meeting from 5 pm to 8:15 pm, and the on-site training will take place on November 22 and 23, from 9 am to 5 pm, at the Swimming Performance Center Kuellenhahn.
The training will also include ten 45-minute e-learning units that can be completed independently of location or time. These units will provide valuable knowledge and skills necessary to support the teaching staff effectively.
The organization is seeking individuals with swimming skills comparable to the Bronze badge who enjoy working with children and have a flexible schedule, especially in the mornings or during school holidays. It's important to note that the training costs will be covered, but the initiative does not provide information about potential compensation for honorary staff.
The city and swimming association aim to relieve trainers and teaching staff by enlisting the help of dedicated volunteers. This initiative is a great opportunity for those who want to give back to the community and help children learn a valuable life skill.
Whether you're a swimming enthusiast with a passion for working with children or simply looking for a way to contribute to your community, this initiative welcomes everyone who wants to help. So, if you're interested, don't hesitate to apply and be a part of this worthwhile cause.
