The Asian Poker Tour (APT) is currently underway at the Paradise City Casino, with the main event taking centre stage. The tournament, nearing its final days, promises an exciting climax on Saturday, August 9, when the final table of the Main Event will be held.

The Main Event, with a guarantee of KRW 1.5 billion (~$1M), has attracted 236 entries for Day 1B, with Dixon Pang leading the pack. However, the spotlight is on former APT Main Event champion, Punnat Punsri, who won the title in Taipei in 2023.

Punsri, with a total live earnings of over $25 million according to The Hendon Mob, has four Triton titles and three other victories on the APT to his name. Despite his impressive resume, Punsri had a near miss in the Single Day High Roller event at APT Incheon, but specific details about his performance were not provided.

Meanwhile, Daming Kang made headlines with his win in the Single Day High Roller event. Kang, who doubled his live earnings with the victory, locked up his first APT trophy with the win at APT Incheon.

The Main Event will have a total of four flights before Day 2 on Wednesday. After Day 1A, 89 players will return for Day 2, with Chi Hsiang Chiu leading the pack as the chip leader.

The buy-in for the Main Event is KRW 2.5M (~$1,800), and the tournament continues with Day 1B of the Incheon Main Event and 11 other events on Monday. As the Asian Poker Tour Incheon event winds down, the stage is set for some thrilling poker action in the coming days.
