Illegal Cannabis Farm in Abandoned Quarry Leads to Two Arrests - Political News Update
In Altena, Germany, an illegal cannabis plantation was uncovered on Wednesday at the old quarry on Rahmedestraße. Employees of the public order office inspected the rear hall of the large facility around noon, and upon discovery, the police were informed.
Over 1000 cannabis plants were found in the building complex, which has been owned by the city of Altena for a few weeks. Two men, aged 27 and 38, were temporarily arrested at the scene.
The evidence collection and investigations are ongoing, with the Technical Relief Agency set to dismantle and remove the secured facility. The suspects will be presented to the judge for remand today at the request of the public prosecutor's office.
