Egina Wins the T. von Zastrow-Stuten-Preis at the Grand Week in Iffezheim

In an exciting race at the Grand Week on the Iffezheim racecourse, Egina, a mare trained by Peter Schiergen, emerged victorious in the T. von Zastrow-Stuten-Preis. With 11,900 spectators in attendance, the race was a thrilling display of equine athleticism.

Leon Wolff, the rider of Egina, guided the 107:10 outsider to a stunning victory, beating seven opponents. This was Egina's third win this year, and her fourth in her twelfth start.

The favourite, Santagada, trained by the same Peter Schiergen, finished in fourth place. Schiergen expressed that Egina had a good race, but Santagada had some bad luck.

Nyra, ridden by Thore Hammer-Hansen, finished in second place, while North Realiance, ridden by Sean Byrne, took third.

The victorious mare, Egina, is owned by Helmut von Finck, the owner of Gestüt Park Wiedingen, where she is trained. Schiergen is also associated with Gestüt Park Wiedingen.

This win marks a significant achievement for both Egina and her team, and the racing community will undoubtedly be eager to see what the future holds for this impressive mare.
