Idaho's newest millionaire claims $1M scratch-off prize at local gas station

A Mackay resident has become Idaho's latest millionaire after winning a top prize in a scratch-off game. Alexander Higbee claimed the $1 million jackpot from the Millionaire Maker ticket, bought at a local petrol station. His win marks the first time the game's highest reward has been awarded since its launch.

Higbee purchased the winning ticket at Jack's Travel Plaza in Arco. The Millionaire Maker scratch-off offers prizes from $50 up to $1 million, with two such top rewards available. Only one now remains unclaimed.

The lucky winner has already decided how to spend the money. Part of the sum will go towards paying off loans and supporting his family. He also plans to treat himself to a new car.

Despite the windfall, Higbee intends to keep working. A regular player of Mega Millions and Powerball, he remains a familiar face at the lottery counter. Meanwhile, Jack's Travel Plaza will receive a $20,000 bonus from the Idaho Lottery for selling the winning ticket.

Higbee's win leaves just one $1 million prize still up for grabs in the Millionaire Maker game. His plans include clearing debts, helping relatives, and buying a vehicle. The petrol station where he bought the ticket will also benefit from the sale.
