Iconic Palms Casino restaurants to close after contract renewals denied

Two well-known restaurants at the Palms Casino Resort will soon close their doors. Laguna Pool House and Rojo Lounge, run by Chef Luke Palladino, will serve their last meals on October 12. Meanwhile, Vetri Cucina, led by Chef Marc Vetri, will shut at a later date, though no exact day has been confirmed yet.

The closures follow a mutual decision between the resort and both chefs not to renew their contracts. Laguna Pool House opened in April 2023 under Palladino's direction. The restaurant, along with Rojo Lounge, quickly became a popular spot at Palms Place. Palladino later expressed thanks for the chance to work in Las Vegas and serve the local community.

Vetri Cucina first launched at the Palms in November 2018. It temporarily closed in March 2020 due to the pandemic before reopening two years later in November 2022. Chef Vetri acknowledged his team, the resort, and Las Vegas guests for their loyalty over the years.

Gregory Van Stone, vice president of food and beverage at the Palms, recognised the contributions of both chefs. He highlighted their partnership as a key part of the resort's dining experience. The closures mark the end of an era for both restaurants at the Palms. Laguna Pool House and Rojo Lounge will wrap up service on October 12, while Vetri Cucina's final day remains unannounced. The resort and chefs have agreed to part ways after their current contracts expire.
