Hyundai Announces Price Adjustments for 2023 Models Amid Rising Costs

Hyundai Motor Company has announced price increases for several of its popular models, effective from the 2023 model year. The adjustments are a response to rising raw material costs and significant inflationary pressures across the supply chain.

The flagship DCT-equipped Hyundai i30 Sedan N flagship will see a price increase of $1200, while the i30 Sedan N-Line will cost $1400 more, regardless of transmission type. The i30 N variant, the top-tier manual model, will now cost $1700 more.

The Hyundai Kona range is also affected, with the Kona 1.6 N-Line Premium (DCT) and Kona 2.0 N both experiencing a price increase of $800 and $1700, respectively. The manual N-Line variant of the Hyundai i30 Hatchback will also cost $800 more.

The Hyundai Venue, another popular compact SUV, will see price increases across its lineup. The base manual model will cost $500 more, while the Venue Elite (automatic) will increase by $500. The manual mid-spec Active model remains unchanged, but the flagship manual variant will cost $1700 more.

The Hyundai Santa Fe variants will all cost $500 more, and the single-spec Hyundai Sonata N-Line will see a price increase of $1075.

The Hyundai Palisade, the company's large SUV, will see significant price increases across its range. The 2WD 3.8 Elite and 2WD 3.8 Highlander models will both cost $4400 more, while the AWD 2.2 Highlander will increase by $4900. The AWD 2.2 Elite Diesel will also cost $4400 more. The Palisade 3.8 AWD Highlander will start at around $38,695 MSRP, with prices for 2025 models ranging from about $37,200 to $54,500, depending on trim and options.

It's worth noting that the costs of DCT-equipped counterparts of some Hyundai models remain unchanged. Prices shown exclude on-road costs.

These price adjustments reflect the challenging economic climate and the need for Hyundai to maintain its competitive position in the market. The company remains committed to delivering high-quality vehicles at affordable prices.
