Hydreatio Partners with UNESCO for World Engineering Day 2025
Hydreatio, a leading authority in water treatment, has been selected as an official partner for UNESCO's World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development (WED) 2025. This international day, proclaimed by the UNESCO General Conference and open to everyone, aims to put engineering in the global spotlight and inspire the next generation.
The theme of WED 2025 is "Shaping our sustainable future through engineering," focusing on the essential role that engineering plays in achieving the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The year-long series of events, films, articles, and news will highlight the achievements of engineers and engineering around the world.
The WED campaign, which spans some 100 countries and represents more than 30 million engineers, has an estimated global reach of over 100 million individuals. All campaign content, including a multimedia hub dedicated to Hydreatio, is hosted on the WED website at www.worldengineeringday.net. A dedicated page for Hydreatio's WED content can be found at https://worldengineeringday.net/partner-stories/hydreatio/.
Jacques de Mereuil, Executive Director of the WFEO, expressed his excitement about Hydreatio's involvement in WED 2025. Mustafa Shehu, President of the WFEO, highlighted the purpose of WED 2025 as putting engineering in the global spotlight and inspiring the next generation.

The launch of WED took place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 4 March 2025. The WED campaign promotes engineering as a career and aims to showcase how engineers are leading the way in meeting the UN's Sustainable Development Goal targets.
The SJH Group is the official media partner and broadcaster for WED. The WED campaign is a significant opportunity for Hydreatio to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable development and showcase its innovative water treatment solutions to a global audience.
