How Stefan Soloviev's Quiet Land Buys Reshaped Shelter Island's Future

Stefan Soloviev has quietly built a vast property portfolio on Long Island's North Fork over the past decade. His purchases now include vineyards, farms, and key local businesses. The latest addition, Shelter Island Heights Pharmacy, has drawn mixed reactions from residents. Soloviev's expansion began years ago with land and agricultural holdings. He later acquired the Chequit hotel and Jack's Marine shop on Shelter Island. His ex-wife, Stacey Soloviev, who grew up in a Canadian farming family, helped manage the growing empire alongside their children.

In March 2022, the Soloviev Group took over the island's only pharmacy. The move raised concerns, as it left residents with no alternative for prescription services. Stacey addressed locals, emphasising the family's long-term commitment to the area.

Beyond the North Fork, Soloviev has snapped up large stretches of farmland and disused railroad lines in western states. His son Hayden, one of 11 children, now plays an active role in overseeing operations. Despite assurances, some islanders remain wary of the family's growing influence. The pharmacy purchase marks another step in Soloviev's consolidation of Shelter Island's essential services. With no competing pharmacy left, the family's control over local infrastructure has deepened. Residents continue to watch closely as the Soloviev Group's presence expands.
