A 25-year-old trader has turned prediction markets into a lucrative career, earning over $100,000 in a single month. Logan Sudeith, a former financial risk analyst, now spends up to 100 hours a week trading on platforms like Kalshi and Polymarket. He believes these markets offer a more efficient way to gather information than traditional polls or media outlets.

Sudeith operates from his Atlanta apartment, relying on food deliveries as he focuses on trading. His recent earnings include $40,236 from betting on Time Magazine's Person of the Year, $11,083 from predicting Google's most-searched person, and $7,448 from the New York City mayoral race. He sees prediction markets as a tool to challenge established systems and democratise information.

The industry itself is expanding rapidly. Kalshi, one of the leading platforms, now handles over $2 billion in weekly trades. The company secured funding at a $22 billion valuation, with its co-founder, Launa Lopes Lara, becoming a self-made billionaire by 2026. Meanwhile, Polymarket, another major player, counts Donald Trump Jr. on its board, with his venture capital firm investing in the platform. Despite the growth, concerns remain. Experts warn about risks such as election interference, the spread of misinformation, and potential market manipulation. Additionally, Truth Social, the social media site linked to former President Trump, plans to launch its own prediction market called *Truth Predict*.

Prediction markets continue to attract traders and investors, with platforms like Kalshi and Polymarket processing billions in weekly trades. Sudeith's success highlights the financial opportunities, while ongoing debates focus on the broader impact of these markets. The sector's expansion shows no signs of slowing, with new entrants like Truth Predict set to join the space.
