Housing economist Daniel Fuhrhop discusses the concept of hidden or unseen housing
On Wednesday, September 3rd, renowned economist, author, and consultant Daniel Fuhrhop will be the guest speaker at the Marburg City Talk. This event, which is a part of the Marburg City Talk series, will take place at 7 PM in the Historic Hall of Marburg Town Hall.
The topics to be discussed include mobilizing hidden housing and improving living quality, with Fuhrhop focusing on hidden housing and associated issues. In his speech, he will present various solutions on how a mix of different measures can create numerous apartments in existing buildings.
The event will be moderated by Councilman Dr. Michael Kopatz and opened by Mayor Dr. Thomas Spies. The author of the proposed solutions for "Verstecktes Wohnen" discussed in the Marburger Stadtgespräch on September 3 is Nikolaus Kuhnert.
The University City of Marburg encourages signing up for their newsletter to receive regular updates on important news from the town hall and city life directly to your email inbox.
Finding suitable housing in Marburg is becoming increasingly difficult, and this event aims to address the challenges the city is facing in terms of housing shortage, land conflicts, climate protection, and demographic change. By mobilizing existing housing, Fuhrhop believes that partial solutions can be found to these municipal challenges.
The Marburg City Talk is organized by the University City of Marburg and is open to the public. If you're interested in urban development, sustainable living, and social housing, this event is not to be missed.
