House Fire in Bottrop: One Person Sustains Injuries at Their Own Residence

In the early hours of Monday morning, a residential fire broke out on An Liebfrauen street in Bottrop's Eigen district. The incident occurred at 4:25 a.m., and the local fire department was quick to respond.

According to a news article published by Fire Department Bottrop and transmitted via news aktuell, three teams in breathing apparatus entered the burning building to extinguish the fire. The operation involved approximately 25 personnel from both the professional and volunteer fire departments.

The semi-detached house was the focus of the fire, and no damage was found in the neighbouring property. To prevent the fire from spreading to the attic, parts of the roof were carefully removed. By 6:00 AM, all measures to extinguish the fire were completed.

The 87-year-old resident of the burning house managed to escape before the arrival of the emergency services and was later transported to a hospital with burn injuries.

The police from Recklinghausen Police Headquarters are now leading the investigation into the cause of the fire. The scene has been handed over to them for further investigation.
