House arrest doesn't guarantee safety; Polish authorities highlight violent outcome
In the heart of Hagen-City Center, a disturbing incident took place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at a bar on Hochstraße. A 48-year-old man entered the establishment around 10 PM, claiming he was lost and seeking directions.
However, the situation took a turn for the worse when the man refused to leave the bar despite being asked by the 58-year-old bar owner. The altercation that followed resulted in the man attempting to hit and kick the owner, causing property damage to the owner's phone and minor injuries to both parties.
The man, who was found to have a blood alcohol level above 1.9%, was charged with trespassing and dangerous bodily harm. The police took a report for property damage and bodily harm against the man.
Interestingly, the man was banned from Hagen but was unaware that the ban applied to this specific bar.
