Holiday Wishes extended by ACEA

In the spirit of the holiday season, Sigrid de Vries, Director General of the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA), extends her warm greetings and wishes for a prosperous New Year.

The year 2023 was marked by geopolitical instability, human tragedy, and the pressing need to address climate change. Amidst these challenges, European vehicle manufacturers continued to innovate, invest, and secure jobs in Europe. ACEA is proud of the results achieved in 2023, a testament to the hard work and commitment of its members and the ACEA team.

As we step into the New Year, ACEA anticipates it with excitement. The association is preparing for the next phase in its journey, with a commitment to addressing the challenges facing society and finding solutions to the issues at hand. ACEA's focus remains on providing solutions to societal challenges, a commitment that persists into the New Year.

In 2024 and beyond, ACEA is looking forward to welcoming new members. Nissan has announced its intention to join ACEA next year, adding to the 16 major car, truck, van, and bus manufacturers already united under the ACEA banner.

The New Year also brings a new European Parliament and Commission. ACEA is ready to work alongside these new institutions, ensuring the industry's voice is prominent amidst new regulations.

In the spirit of looking forward, ACEA has launched a visionary manifesto for the EU's next five-year term titled, 'A Competitive European Auto Industry, Driving the Mobility Revolution'. This manifesto aims to guide the industry towards a greener, more digital, and more competitive destination for all Europeans.

As we bid farewell to 2023, Sigrid de Vries signs off the message, conveying warm regards from the entire ACEA team. The resiliency of the European automotive industry and the people behind the vehicles was noted throughout the year, and ACEA is proud to be at the forefront of providing solutions to societal challenges in the coming year.

The world may have faced challenges in 2023, but ACEA remains optimistic about the future. The association is committed to working towards a greener, more digital, and more competitive European automotive industry, driving the mobility revolution for all Europeans.
