Holiday travel tickets for the bustling season becoming available from the stroke of midnight

The Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp (THSRC) has announced that it will be extending its holiday transport period for the first time, covering a significant 18-day period from September 26 to October 13. This extended holiday period includes three major holidays - Teacher's Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day.

This extended holiday transport period marks the longest-ever for THSRC, with the company preparing for an increased demand during this period. To cater to this demand, THSRC has upgraded its ticketing system, capable of accommodating approximately 38,000 users simultaneously, a 1.7 times increase compared to the Lunar New Year sales period earlier this year.

Travelers can purchase tickets for this extended holiday period through various channels. Apart from station counters and ticket machines, they can also book tickets online via THSRC's website booking system, the T Express Mobile App, or at convenience stores.

In a separate announcement, China Southern Airlines revealed that they will be organising the longest ever 18-day journey during the Teacher's Festival, Moon Festival, and National Day. Their improved booking system can accommodate up to 8,500 people booking simultaneously.

The extended holiday period is a significant period for travel in Taiwan, as it includes three major holidays. THSRC's ticketing system upgrade is aimed at facilitating this increased demand during the extended holiday period.

Tickets for the extended holiday period will go on sale tonight and will be available for 18 days. The sales are for travel during the extended holiday period only. With the extended holiday transport period and the upgraded ticketing system, THSRC is set to make travel during this period more convenient for its passengers.
