This weekend, Chamara Vajra in Bengaluru will play host to the 15th edition of Namu Recommends Vegan Market, a vibrant event showcasing a diverse range of vegan food, sustainable fashion, and eco-friendly products.

Over 130 brands from across India will be participating in this edition, with approximately 40-45 new brands joining the lineup from cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Mysore, Hubli, Chennai, and Tumkur.

Food enthusiasts can look forward to a variety of delicious options. Live food stalls will be serving mock-meat biryani by Simplify, wood-fired vegan pizzas by The Pizza Bakery, tempeh momos from Hello Tempayy, and Karnataka fare from Thrupthi by Thaatha & Co. For those with a sweet tooth, The Perf Ice Candy will offer vegan popsicles, while No Oil No Boil will serve up chaats, biryanis, and chutney pudis.

The curation includes farm-fresh produce, Ayurveda-inspired blends, authentic podis and pickles, and a raw food cafe called No Oil No Boil. It's important to note that No Oil No Boil specializes in traditional food, not just western-style vegan options like cheese, mock meat, burgers, or pizza.

Sustainable fashion takes centre stage with brands like S24 Paragana, a company based in Bremen, Germany, participating for the fourth time. S24 Paragana offers embroidered western cotton wear with bright, beautiful, floral patterns. Un Denim will showcase upcycled denim fashion, while Krumb Kraft provides artisan breads.

Tengin, a farmer-empowering venture, will also be present, offering a chance to support local farmers and learn about their initiatives.

Ember will offer durable cookware for those looking to make more eco-friendly choices in their kitchen. Vastrabharana 2025, which reimagines traditional handloom and handicrafts, will also be participating.

The founder of Namu Recommends, Namu Kini, expressed excitement about the positive community vibes and the variety of brands at the event. The event is free and takes place on September 6 & 7 at Jayamahal Main Road.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to explore a wide range of vegan food, sustainable fashion, and eco-friendly products. See you there!
