The Holy Cross Men's Hockey team is currently riding high on a seven-game winning streak, their longest in over a decade. This impressive run has propelled them to the third position in Atlantic Hockey.

The streak began with a 5-1 victory over Sacred Heart Pioneers, a team that was previously the second-best in Atlantic Hockey. Liam McLinksey was the standout player in this game, scoring two goals and providing three assists. He also secured the game-winning goal. Tyler Ghirardosi, Matt DeBoer, Jack Seymour, and McLinksey scored the other goals for Holy Cross.

In the following game, Holy Cross continued their dominance with a 2-1 win against Sacred Heart. Jack Ricketts scored both goals, with an assist from Ricketts himself in the second goal.

The team's impressive form continued in the Atlantic Hockey play-in-game against Canisius, who had come off a 5-2 win over Mercyhurst. Holy Cross clinched their place in the Atlantic Hockey Semifinals with a convincing win.

During this streak, they have outscored opponents 33-14, showcasing their offensive prowess.

However, the winning streak came to an end in their final regular season game, a 5-1 loss to Bentley. Despite this setback, the team has secured a top-three finish and one of the five league byes in the playoffs.

The team's next game is against Bentley on Thursday, February 20, at 7pm.

Meanwhile, the Women's Hockey team has also shown signs of improvement, snapping an 8-game losing streak after returning from winter break.

The Atlantic Hockey and Hockey East playoffs are now set, with Holy Cross ready to make their mark.
