Ho Chi Minh City introduces more than 750 administrative services available online

In a significant stride towards digitizing government services, Ha Noi has launched an online system for land-related procedures, effective from September 3. This move is part of the city's broader effort to streamline administrative processes and contribute to national digital transformation.

The new online system covers a wide range of services, including providing data, first-time land registration, reissuance of lost land-use certificates, and various land-related applications. The aim is to improve efficiency and convenience for citizens and businesses, while also reducing costs, travel, and processing time.

The system is anticipated to contribute to building a centralized database for the reuse of administrative information, enhancing transparency and the reuse of information. However, it's important to note that the system does not eliminate the need for paper documents in certain cases.

Citizens and businesses can now conduct 767 administrative procedures entirely online in Ha Noi. The Municipal Public Administrative Service Centre facilitates filing, tracking, and receiving results digitally. For procedures not yet fully manageable online, applicants must submit forms through the national e-service portal and send paper documents via postal service.

In addition to the Public Administrative Service Centre, 186 employees of Vietnam Post are involved in the implementation of the online processing of these 767 procedures. They participate in reception, digitization of records, document verification, fee support, and returning results, acting as a key bridge between the government and citizens.

The shift to digital processes will increase transparency, as electronic results are expected for all online procedures, with physical copies delivered free of charge to applicants' registered addresses when necessary, except for cases requiring original verification or signatures in official registers.

This move is in line with the Politburo's Resolution 57-NQ-TW on science, technology, and national digital transformation. It's part of Ha Noi's wider digital transformation push, aimed at improving the quality of public services and making them more accessible to all.

With the introduction of the online system, Ha Noi continues to lead the way in digital transformation, providing a more efficient, convenient, and transparent public service landscape for its citizens and businesses.
