Historic Old Town Revives Performances

The 19th edition of the Landshut Spectacle is set to take place from September 18 to 21, 2025, in the picturesque town of Landshut, Germany. This free cultural event has become an integral part of the city's cultural calendar and the largest annual event in Landshut.

Founded and artistically directed by Martin Hilz, the Landshut Spectacle combines urban street art with historical city architecture, providing a unique and captivating experience for its visitors. Hilz extends his gratitude to the sponsors, the city of Landshut, the "angels" of the Landshut Spectacle, and all supporters for 19 years of loyalty and making the festival possible.

The entire event is freely accessible, with over 100,000 visitors expected to attend each year, making it one of the largest street art festivals in Europe. The festival's Nightlife event, featuring four live bands, will take place on Saturday, September 20, at the Bernlochner.

The Landshut Spectacle's diverse programme attracts various target groups - children, youth, adults, and seniors. The festival will make use of the Saltstadel, Rathausprunksaal, Stadtwerke stage at the Land Gate, in addition to eleven outdoor venues in the old town.

International stage stars and local talents will perform throughout the festival, with artists from 20 different nations participating. Notable performers include comedian Goronwy from Schmidt Theater Hamburg, as well as artists from Covent Garden and Leicester Square Spiegelzelt, former Olympic participants, national gymnastics champions, members of Cirque du Soleil, and Guinness World Record holders.
