Historic Huguenot Street Unveils Autumn Series of "Hudson Valley Baroque" Musical Performances

Historic Huguenot Street in New Paltz, NY, is set to host three live concerts this autumn, in collaboration with the Hudson Valley Baroque chamber music group. The concerts will take place at the Crispell Memorial French Church, which is situated at 60 Huguenot Street, New Paltz, NY 12561.

Historic Huguenot Street Unveils Autumn Series of "Hudson Valley Baroque" Musical Performances

Historic Huguenot Street (HHS), a National Historic Landmark District and a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to preserving a pre-Revolutionary Hudson Valley settlement, is hosting three concerts in partnership with the chamber music ensemble "Hudson Valley Baroque." The events are made possible with support from the New York State Council on the Arts.

The series kicks off on Sunday, September 21, 2025, with the first concert, "Music of Johann Sebastian Bach," at 3:00 PM. The second concert, "Italian Sunshine," featuring Italian baroque chamber music, will be presented on Sunday, October 19, 2025, also at 3:00 PM. The final concert, Baroque Music of England, is scheduled for Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

The concerts will take place at the Crispell Memorial French Church, located at 60 Huguenot Street, New Paltz, NY 12561. The cost of admission for General Admission is $14, while Discounted Admission is $10. Notably, the programs are FREE for children under 13.

The performers for the concerts include Ruthanne Schempf (keyboard), Susan Seligman (cello), Joel Evans (oboe), Christiana Fortune Reader (violin), Gregory Bynum (recorder), and Marc Molomot (tenor). Marc Molomot is an international tenor who has performed with leading early music ensembles and conductors.

HHS honours the region's Indigenous people and acknowledges the enslaved and disenfranchised peoples who built this place. The organisation provides an inclusive presentation of our shared past and serves as a community gathering place.
