Highway Patrol of NRW, working alongside federal authorities, detained a 29-year-old individual on route 61.
The Federal Police in North Rhine-Westphalia (BPOL NRW) were involved in an incident on the A61 highway on February 6, 2025. A 29-year-old Romanian was checked during border controls and was found to have an outstanding fine.
During a search, a joint was discovered and seized in the man's jacket pocket. Further investigation revealed that he was wanted by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Kleve on an arrest warrant for bodily harm.
The Romanian was arrested on the spot and taken to the Federal Police Station in Kempen for further processing. At the station, he paid an outstanding fine of 300 euros to the Federal Police.
