Highest-earning regions and sectors in Belarus surpassing 10,000 rubles: a breakdown
In a recent study conducted by Belstat in May 2025, the wages of workers in Belarus were analysed, covering a total of 2,517,679 individuals. The study revealed some interesting insights into the distribution of high-earning workers across various sectors and regions in the country.
Artem Kireyshin, a journalist reporting on the findings, highlighted that the Transportation, warehousing, postal and courier activities sector had 554 workers earning over 10,000 rubles. This was followed by the Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector with 1,623 high-earning workers, and the Manufacturing sector with 2,570.

The Financial and insurance activities sector also had a substantial number, with 906 high-earning workers. The Professional, scientific, and technical activities sector had 700 high-earning workers, while the Construction sector had 816.
Interestingly, the study did not provide specific data on which region in Belarus had the highest number of employees earning more than 10,000 rubles per month in the past six months. However, it was clear that Minsk led the pack, with 14,261 individuals earning over 10,000 rubles. The Minsk Region followed closely with 1,862 individuals earning over the same amount.
The Grodno Region had 524 individuals earning over 10,000 rubles, while the Brest Region had 522. The Gomel Region had 1,017 individuals earning over 10,000 rubles, and the Mogilev Region had 303. Notable mentions include Salihorsk in the Minsk Region with an additional 197 individuals earning over 10,000 rubles, and Ostrówiec District in the Lida District with an additional 65. In the Grodno Region, Rechitsa District had an additional 213 individuals earning over 10,000 rubles.

The study also mentioned various financial services such as consumer loans, auto loans, business loans, mortgages, deposits, and loans, business banking products, credit cards, debit cards, leasing services for new cars, and leasing services for used cars, as well as business car leasing services.
Despite the lack of specific data on the region with the highest number of high-earning workers, it is clear that Belarus's economy is thriving, with numerous sectors contributing to a significant number of high-earning workers across the country.
