High-Speed Pursuit in Biberach: Two Motorists Caught Speeding Excessively on Sunday Afternoon

In a bid to enhance road safety, the Ulm Police Headquarters have been conducting round-the-clock speed checks. This initiative comes in response to speeding remaining one of the main causes of accidents on the roads.

On Wednesday afternoon, two drivers found themselves in trouble with the law. At 1:45 PM, a 47-year-old man driving a BMW was caught speeding near Hochdorf on the B30, exceeding the 100 km/h speed limit by a significant 38 km/h. Just an hour later, at 3 PM, a 55-year-old Nissan driver was caught speeding on the bypass road towards Hubertus-Liebrecht-Straße in Warthausen, exceeding the 70 km/h speed limit by 37 km/h.

Both drivers now face a fine of at least 200 euros, one point in Flensburg, and a one-month driving ban. This serves as a stark reminder to all drivers to adhere to the speed limits.

The head of the Ulm Police Headquarters is currently Chief Superintendent Andreas Schwarz. He advises drivers to "Slow down!" and not to overestimate their abilities or account for mistakes from others. The police urge drivers to exercise caution and responsibility on the roads.

For those seeking advice on safer driving, brochures can be found at every police station or online at www.gib-acht-im-verkehr.de. For more information on the dangers of speeding, a brochure from the Statistical Office of Baden-Württemberg is available for order or download at www.statistik-bw.de.

It's important to note that a serious accident can have long-lasting effects on both victims and perpetrators. Accidents involving excessive speed often have severe consequences.
