High-performance sports car, Aston Martin V12 Zagato, makes its debut at the Nurburgring race track
The Aston Martin V12 Zagato, affectionately named Zig, is set to make its mark on the automotive world. This exquisite vehicle, which has been the subject of extensive coverage in the last few months, is poised to take its place among Aston Martin's most coveted creations.
Zig, the second iteration of the V12 Zagato after the original Zag, was unveiled at Villa d'Este and has since been showcased at other prestigious events. Most recently, Zig arrived at the Nurburgring, looking every bit the track car it was designed to be.
Aston Martin plans to put the V12 Zagato into production as the One-77 ends its production run. The company has revealed that the production version of the V12 Zagato will go on sale in 2012. Production will be limited, with the number of cars produced in a year being similar to that of the DB7 Zagato.
Zig is not just a visual spectacle; it is also designed to perform. It will participate in the ADAC ACAS H&R-Cup VLN race this weekend and the 24-hours of Nurburgring on June 25th. The target price for this masterpiece is reported to be between £300-350k, making it a luxury for the select few.
Photos and videos of Zig at the Nurburgring are available for those who cannot attend the races in person. The production capacity for the V12 Zagato at CPP is two cars a week on a single shift. This limited production run, combined with its high price tag, ensures that the Aston Martin V12 Zagato will remain an exclusive and highly sought-after vehicle.
In a nod to its predecessor, the first V12 Zagato, Zig carries on the tradition of crafting exceptional vehicles that blend style, performance, and exclusivity. The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is not just a car; it is a work of art.
