Heavy rain expected in RLP according to DWD's latest announcement
Over the coming days, Rhineland-Palatinate residents can expect a mix of weather conditions, according to the German Weather Service (DWD).
On Wednesday, the region saw no floods, and temperatures remained between 21 and 23 degrees. With the warm temperatures, it's safe to leave your jackets at home. However, Wednesday evening brought heavy rain, particularly in the south and Rheinhessen, and thunderstorms.
As we move into Thursday, the rain and thunderstorms are set to ease off, with temperatures dropping to between 15 and 13 degrees. Yet, there's a chance of further rain showers and possible thunderstorms on Thursday.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Friday starts off dry but thunderstorms and individual showers are expected in the evening, with temperatures once again between 21 and 23 degrees. The DWD predicts local thunderstorms and severe thunderstorms for this day. In the Eifel and Hunsrück, temperatures on Friday will only reach 19 degrees.
The good news is that by Sunday, temperatures are expected to rise, potentially reaching up to 25 degrees. However, the DWD has yet to provide a detailed forecast for Sunday.
