In Lower Bavaria, a collision between two cars resulted in the death of a man. Police reported that a 53-year-old driver crossed into the wrong lane on the B12 near Passau on Sunday morning, causing a head-on crash with a 65-year-old driver. First responders could only free the 65-year-old who had passed away from his vehicle. The 53-year-old sustained minor injuries and got taken to the hospital. The B12 was shut down for hours due to this incident, and damage to property was estimated to be in the thousands of euros. Authorities are now investigating the sequence of events that led to this tragic occurrence.
