Haribo Introduces New Chocolate Flavored Assortment Available in Local Markets - Customer Responses gap

New Haribo-Ritter Sport Chocolate Tablet Sparks Mixed Reactions

Haribo and Ritter Sport have released a limited edition chocolate tablet named "Pico-Balla" to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Pico-Balla product. The chocolate tablet, weighing 100 grams, with 80 grams being chocolate and 20 grams being gum, is priced at 2.49 Euro and is available in all Haribo shops and the Ritter Sport chocolate worlds in Berlin and Waldenbruch since August 15, 2025.

The production of the chocolate tablet is limited to 100,000 units, and six days after the start of sales, half of the produced tablets are still available. The new chocolate tablet has polarized strongly among users, with some expressing interest and others criticizing its limited availability and high price.

Some users have compared the new chocolate tablet to the Dubai chocolate that caused a stir last year. However, others feel reminded of the Dubai chocolate and have shown skepticism towards the new offering. Comments range from "Cool, I have to try it" to "Disgusting. Neither tastes good on its own. Pico-Balla is terrible and chocolate in general is repulsive."

Despite the mixed reactions, some users have already managed to find the chocolate tablets listed on eBay at inflated prices. The chocolate tablets are not yet available on eBay due to their limited availability.

The Limited Edition Pico-Balla Tablet was produced by the company Ritter Sport in collaboration with Pico-Balla. The new chocolate tablet combines the beloved flavours of Pico-Balla with the goodness of chocolate, making it an exciting treat for fans of both brands.

As the chocolate tablets continue to sell, it remains to be seen whether the mixed reactions will affect their popularity. For now, the limited edition chocolate tablet is still available in half of the produced units, and fans of both Haribo and Ritter Sport are encouraged to try it out and share their thoughts.
