Hannover-Nordstadt District Witnesses Garden Leaves Going Up in Flames

In the early hours of Saturday morning, the Fire Department Hannover successfully extinguished a fire that broke out in the "Rosendorf" garden colony in the Nordstadt district of Hannover. The incident, which occurred overnight on Friday, required the efforts of 40 emergency services personnel from both the fire department and rescue service.

Upon arrival, firefighters found one garden shed already engulfed in flames, which had spread to another. Due to difficult access and water supply, both sheds were fully ablaze. To address the water supply difficulties, a large tanker vehicle with a 10,000-liter water tank was called in.

The fire resumed at 2:20 AM, necessitating additional firefighters and resources. During the extinguishing measures, several gas cylinders were recovered and cooled. However, the status of the recovered gas cylinders is not specified.

Unfortunately, a firefighter was injured during the operations and was taken to a Hanover hospital. The identities of the injured firefighter have not been disclosed. Follow-up checks at 5:30 AM and 8:45 AM were uneventful. As of now, no further updates on the fire incident have been reported since the fire was extinguished at 3:50 AM for the second operation.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and the police have initiated investigations into the incident. The extent of the damage is yet to be determined. The official website of the Fire Department Hannover is: https://www.feuerwehr-hannover.de.
