Halle (Saale) will see a busy day on Saturday, March 7, 2026, with multiple events taking place across the city. Alongside a college football match, three separate demonstrations are planned, including a feminist rally for International Women's Day. Authorities expect hundreds of participants and have prepared for potential traffic disruptions in key areas.

The feminist coalition Fight the Patriarchy will lead a demonstration under the slogan Kampf dem Patriarchat (Fight the Patriarchy). Their protest focuses on resisting patriarchal gender roles, as well as recent cuts to women's pensions and wages. The march is part of wider International Women's Day events.

A second gathering will oppose the Gladiator Fight Night, a combat sports event linked to far-right groups. Organised by the campaign Den Daumen runter (Thumbs Down), this protest begins at 3:30 PM near the main train station. Meanwhile, a third, unspecified assembly is set for the southern city centre and Luther District.

At the same time, Hallescher FC will host Chemnitzer FC in a football games today. Between 7,000 and 9,000 fans are expected at the stadium. Police will oversee all events, ensuring public safety and managing any temporary road closures in affected zones.

The city has prepared for a mix of sporting and political activity on March 7. Demonstrators will address social issues, while football supporters gather for the match. Authorities have confirmed they will maintain order and minimise disruption throughout the day.
