Today, his possessions will be auctioned off. - Hacking Incident at Schumi's Watch Auction
Christie's website was down on Thursday due to a "technical security issue." The site currently displays a message saying, "We apologize for the inconvenience, as our entire website is currently offline. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible." The site now has accessible catalogs for seven upcoming auctions, including the Schumacher auction. The cause of the problem and the identity of the attacker are still unknown.
Christie's has suffered from cyber attacks in the past. Last August, German cybersecurity experts exposed a data breach at the auction house.

Michael Schumacher's watch collection, which includes eight valuable timepieces, is set to be auctioned off on Tuesday at 2 pm. Schumacher was an avid watch collector during his racing career, and some of his watches are one-of-a-kind. His collection, which includes watches from Benetton, Ferrari, and Mercedes, is estimated to be worth around four million dollars (approx. 3.75 million euros).

The most sought-after item is the unique "Vagabondage 1" watch from F.P. Journe. This one-of-a-kind timepiece features a Ferrari red dial, symbols representing his seven world championship titles, the Ferrari logo, and an image of his helmet design. Schumacher's former Ferrari boss, Jean Todt (78), commissioned the watch for his friend.

The watch's back is engraved with a dedication from Todt. Given as a Christmas present in 2004, Schumacher's unique piece could fetch up to two million euros. Schumacher, a legendary Formula 1 driver, had a severe accident while skiing in Méribel, France, on December 29, 2013, resulting in brain injuries. His family has withheld information about his health since the accident.
