Guitarist Miloš Karadaglić shares his unexpected journey to music, revealing that the instrument became his cherished companion.

In the heart of Montenegro, born in 1983, a young prodigy named Miloš Karadaglić was about to embark on a remarkable musical journey. Growing up, music was always a part of his life.

At the tender age of eight, Miloš started playing the classical guitar, studying at the music school in Podgorica, his home country's capital. His passion for the instrument grew, and he considered it his best friend.

Miloš's talent did not go unnoticed. At 17, he won a scholarship to study at London's prestigious Royal Academy of Music. This was a significant milestone, marking the beginning of his professional career in the world of classical music.

During his time at the academy, Miloš excelled, graduating with First Class honours and completing a Masters in performance. His dedication and hard work paid off, as he went on to become a celebrated classical guitarist.

Miloš's performances have taken him to some of the world's most renowned concert halls. By the age of 14, he was already making appearances in these prestigious venues. Over the years, he has performed as a soloist with esteemed orchestras such as the London Philharmonic, LA Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, and Chicago Symphony.

One of his most memorable collaborations was with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, where he played Piazzolla's 'Libertango' and Boccherini's 'Fandango'.

In October 2023, Miloš graced our screens at Live at the Royal Albert Hall, a testament to his enduring popularity and the impact he has made on the classical music scene.

Miloš's success is not just a result of his exceptional talent, but also the free music lessons he had access to in Montenegro. He attributes much of his musical success to these early opportunities, believing that music education can greatly improve lives, without necessarily needing to become a profession.

In line with this belief, Miloš launched his own foundation in Porto Montenegro. The foundation aims to provide educational opportunities, partnerships, and musical mentorship, ensuring that the next generation of musicians in Montenegro have the same opportunities he did.

Miloš Karadaglić continues to be a strong advocate for making sure music education is accessible for younger generations. His journey from Montenegro to the Royal Albert Hall serves as an inspiration for aspiring musicians worldwide.
