In the world of historical dramas, the upcoming Netflix series "House of Guinness" promises to stand out with its epic story inspired by one of Europe's most famous dynasties - the Guinness family. Created by Steven Knight, known for his work on Peaky Blinders, the series is set to land on Netflix in the UK and US on Thursday, September 25.

The series, consisting of eight parts, is directed by Tom Shankland for the first five and the last three episodes, with Mounia Akl taking the helm for the latter. The drama stars Anthony Boyle as Arthur Guinness, the patriarch of the family, and Fionn O'Shea as his son, Benjamin Guinness.

The incredible cast doesn't stop there. Jack Gleeson portrays Byron Hedges, Dervla Kirwan takes on the role of Aunt Agnes Guinness, and James Norton stars as Sean Rafferty. Emily Fairn portrays Anne Plunket (neΓ© Guinness), and Seamus O'Hara plays Patrick Cochrane. Niamh McCormack is Ellen Cochrane, Hilda Fay is cast as Sultan, and Louis Partridge plays Edward Guinness. David Wilmot will portray Bonnie Champion, but the character of John Potter remains uncast as of now.

The series is not historically accurate, as it aims to provide drama and may not accurately portray what actually happened to the Guinness family. However, Anne Mensah, Netflix Vice President of UK Content, describes the scripts as reading like pages torn out of a classic novel. Steven Knight, the creator of "House of Guinness", expresses excitement about the exceptional cast and team working on the series.

A trailer for "House of Guinness" is available, providing a glimpse into the 19th-century Dublin and New York setting of the series. The plot will reimagine the period immediately after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness and the impact of his will on his four adult children and a group of Dublin characters.

With its stellar cast, captivating plot, and a setting that transports viewers to the heart of 19th-century Ireland and America, "House of Guinness" is a series not to be missed. So, mark your calendars for September 25, and get ready to immerse yourself in this dramatic tale of Europe's most famous dynasty.
