Green Youth leader Nietzard derides Söder as a "canine's offspring"

In a surprising turn of events, the former chairwoman of the Green Youth organisation, Jette Nietzard, has taken to TikTok to criticise CSU chairman Markus Söder. The video, which was shared online on platforms such as T-Online, saw Nietzard labelling Söder as a "bastard son."

Since late 2024, Nietzard has been co-chairwoman of the Green Youth with Jakob Blasel. However, her behaviour on social media, including wearing a "ACAB" sweater, had caused controversy within her own Green Party ranks. This latest incident has further fuelled the debate.

In a 50-second video on Tiktok, Nietzard accused Söder of living a "good life" where he eats and travels without working much. She also alleged that he often misses Bundesrat sessions or the Bavarian parliament.

The Green Party leadership, led by Felix Banaszak, has deemed Nietzard's behaviour "unacceptable." They have announced a conversation with Nietzard regarding her social media conduct. As of the time of this article, Markus Söder has not reacted to the provocation from Nietzard.

Following the publication of the article on T-Online, the Tiktok video in question has been taken down. It is unclear whether it was removed by Nietzard herself or by TikTok's moderators.

Nietzard's decision not to run again for the youth organization's federal congress in October, and her farewell video on Tiktok, were seen as a settlement of scores with the Greens. The incident has raised questions about the conduct of political leaders on social media and the impact it can have on public opinion.
