Govee, a leading player in the smart lighting industry, has announced two new products set to revolutionise the way we experience lighting at home. The company unveiled the Outdoor Lights Prism and the TV Backlight 3 Pro at IFA 2025.

The Outdoor Lights Prism, scheduled for release on September 22, is a tricolor lighting system with an IP68 protection rating. This means it can survive dust and rainstorms, making it an ideal choice for outdoor use. The lighting effect creates a captivating display, with each custom LED unit on the light strip cascading a gradient of three distinct colors. Govee claims the Outdoor Lights Prism should last a total of 50,000 hours.

Pricing for the Outdoor Lights Prism has not yet been shared, but it's expected to be available around the same time as its release. The company has also not disclosed the pricing for other lights shown off at IFA 2025, including the Galaxy Light Projector Pro.

Meanwhile, Nanoleaf, another prominent name in the smart lighting industry, is set to release the Outdoor Lights Prism with tricolor lighting effect and IP68 protection rating on September 22.

Moving indoors, Govee's TV Backlight 3 Pro is designed for those who want a gadget that will watch their TV as intensely as they do, even if they don't have a backyard. The device, brighter than similar devices like those from Nanoleaf, uses a triple-sensor HDR camera array to capture the colours of the screen. This ensures perfect colour matching and a more immersive viewing experience.

The TV Backlight 3 Pro supports the Matter smart home standard and can sync with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The light strip is adhered to the rear of the TV, and the device is brighter than the Backlight 3 Lite, with a light strip output of 337 lumens compared to 120.

Unfortunately, pricing details for the TV Backlight 3 Pro have not been shared by Govee. However, it is set to hit the shelves on September 29.

With these new releases, Govee and Nanoleaf are pushing the boundaries of what smart lighting can do, offering products that are not only functional but also visually stunning. Whether you're looking to light up your outdoor space or enhance your indoor viewing experience, these two companies have you covered.
