Google supports AI-focused web startups through its program

In a significant event held at Software Park 2, Đà Nẵng played host to the conclusion of a four-day AI Solutions Lab, organised by Google in collaboration with the National Innovation Centre (NIC) and the Da Nang Semiconductor & AI Centre (DSAC). The event marked a milestone in affirming Đà Nẵng's growing role in high technology and artificial intelligence.

During the lab, 12 startups showcased their innovative AI-driven solutions, having learned to build, secure, and scale AI solutions using Google's cutting-edge technologies. The Google AI Solutions Lab served as an important launching pad for these local startups, providing them with workshops on product presentation skills and practical support such as rent-free office space for eligible teams, offered by DSAC.

The event followed the Google for Startups AI Bootcamp in HCM City, where 72 startups received training on Google's AI tools and cloud benefits. One of the highlighted solutions presented at the Đà Nẵng AI Solutions Lab was DocBase.ai, an automation tool designed for high-volume insurance claim processing.

Another noteworthy solution was Cremi AI, which empowers indie musicians to create professional-quality music videos at a lower cost. PathologyAILab presented a solution using edge AI for real-time cervical cancer screening in low-resource settings, while Life AI aimed to make drug discovery ten times faster and cheaper.

Hò̀ Quang Bửu, Deputy Chairman of the Đà Nẵng People's Committee, emphasised the event's significance in affirming Đà Nẵng's growing role in high technology and artificial intelligence. Marc Woo, Managing Director of Google Vietnam, underscored the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing the country's digital transformation.

The event reinforced Việt Nam's position as an emerging AI leader in the region. The creativity of local entrepreneurs in developing generative AI solutions was evident, as showcased by the Google AI Solutions Lab in Đà Nẵng. The event was part of the 'Build for the AI Future' initiative, demonstrating Google's commitment to fostering AI innovation in Vietnam.
