Global Design Workshop Unites Students Under Erasmus+ at ARCH College
ARCH College of Design & Business recently hosted the International Co-LIFE Pilot 2 Workshop from January 27 to 31, 2026. The five-day event brought together over 50 students, faculty, and mentors from India, Finland, Belgium, and Denmark under the Erasmus+ programme, funded by the European Union.
The workshop began with an inauguration by Archana Surana, Founder and Director of ARCH College. Participants took part in immersive sessions on Design Thinking and creative skills, led by both international and Indian experts.
Learning extended beyond the classroom through industry visits to Jaipur Rugs and Neerja International. Cultural immersion activities were also included to enrich the experience. The programme aligned with Co-LIFE's vision of Impact-Focused Entrepreneurship, integrating sustainability and social responsibility into design education. On the final day, students presented case studies, followed by a panel discussion on *Global Market Trends & Indian Heritage Crafts*. School teachers were invited to attend, broadening the workshop's reach beyond higher education. ARCH College announced plans to introduce structured courses and workshops for school educators. These will aim to strengthen their understanding of globally adaptable design education.
The workshop concluded with a focus on practical learning and industry engagement. By involving educators and international participants, ARCH College reinforced its commitment to expanding design education with a global and sustainable perspective.
