In the upcoming half-hour comedy series, "Chad Powers," Glen Powell stars as Russ Holliday, a former college football quarterback who made an unforgivable mistake eight years ago that ended his career. To seek redemption, Holliday reinvents himself under the alias "Chad Powers" and attempts to make a comeback as a walk-on player.
The series follows Holliday as he goes undercover as an unsuspecting college football player at South Georgia. Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Steve Zahn, and Luvh Rakhe are also cast members in this hilarious journey.
"Chad Powers" is co-created and executive produced by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, with Waldron and Adam Fasullo executive producing for Anomaly Pictures. Omaha Productions' Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, ESPN's Burke Magnus, Brian Lockhart, and Kati Fernandez are also executive producers.
In addition to starring and executive producing, Powell co-writes under his production co-barn Barnstorm Productions. Tony Yacenda serves as director and executive producer.
The trailer for the series was debuted on ESPN's College GameDay, showcasing Powell's dual role as both Russ Holliday and Chad Powers. The series premieres on September 30th with two episodes, with new episodes streaming weekly on Tuesdays.
