Gilley’s Park City Brings Honky-Tonk Fun and Gambling to Kansas in 2025

A well-known honky-tonk brand is coming to Kansas. Phil Ruffin will open Gilley’s Park City on December 15, 2025, at the site of the former Wichita Greyhound Park. The venue promises a mix of gambling, entertainment, and family-friendly activities just north of Wichita.

The original Gilley’s Club first launched in 1970 in Pasadena, Texas. Decades later, Ruffin met Mickey Gilley in the early 1990s and later brought the brand to Las Vegas in 1998. Now, the new Kansas location will be managed by Mike Friesen.

The opening of Gilley’s Park City introduces a fresh mix of nightlife and gaming to the area. With its blend of family attractions and adult entertainment, the venue aims to draw visitors from Wichita and beyond. The site’s transformation from a greyhound track to a major entertainment complex reflects its evolving role in the community.
