Horsch Introduces the Avatar 66.10 TD Direct Seeding Machine for North America
In a significant leap forward for direct seeding technology, Horsch Maschinen GmbH has introduced the Avatar 66.10 TD to the North American market. This innovative seeder, tested for the first time in the spring of 2025, promises to revolutionise farming practices.
The Avatar 66.10 TD boasts a working width of 20.11 meters (66 feet), making it a formidable piece of farming equipment. It is equipped with 80 seeding units, each operating at a row spacing of 25.4 cm (10 inches). The seeder comes with four tanks, offering a total volume of approximately 30,000 liters (870 bushels).
One of the standout features of the Avatar 66.10 TD is its maneuverability, despite its size. The chassis configuration features a steerable front axle, allowing for exceptional maneuverability. Wide-tread tires (1100/35 R 32) are mounted at the front, and 1250 LSW wide tires are mounted at the rear.
Fertiliser is separately dosed and placed between seed rows via leading disc openers, ensuring optimal nutrient distribution. The Avatar 66.10 TD can achieve a working speed of up to 15 km/h, making it a efficient choice for farmers.
Horsch has not yet provided any information about the Horsch Grubber for tractors up to 500 PS - Fortis LT.
