Germany's aid for Ukraine has been revealed

In a report published on Sunday, August 31, German publication Bild revealed that Berlin is bolstering its security guarantees for Ukraine, primarily through financial and military means. The German government is focusing on strengthening Ukraine's air defense, supplying infantry fighting vehicles, training soldiers, and supporting Ukraine's defense industry.

However, a specific budget figure earmarked for these guarantees by Germany is not publicly detailed in the available sources. The German government intends to ensure security guarantees with money instead of troops, as it has doubts about deploying troops on Ukrainian territory.

The report also indicates that Berlin plans to continue training Ukrainian fighters and is preparing for "security guarantees" for Ukraine. In the event of a peace agreement, Germany intends to provide financial security guarantees for Ukraine.

Interestingly, after a summit with US President Donald Trump on August 18, Germany expressed its readiness to send troops to Ukraine. However, two weeks later, disappointment is growing in the German government due to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's continued pursuit of war. As of the report date, the German government is not deploying troops on Ukrainian territory.

The production of weapons in Ukraine is also set to increase, including in cooperation with German arms companies. It's worth noting that the prospect of Western soldiers providing security guarantees in Ukraine is now distant, according to Bild.
