German Fiber Glass begins to consolidate demand for lasers in Kücknitz and Schlutup

In an exciting development, Deutsche Glasfaser, a specialist in rapid and cost-effective FTTH (Fibre-to-the-Home) expansion, is driving the expansion of fiber optic networks in Kücknitz and Schlutup. As a regional digital service provider, the company plans, builds, and operates open fiber optic connections for private households, businesses, and public institutions.

The organization is relying on the support of citizens in these two towns for the expansion. Interested parties can conclude a contract with Deutsche Glasfaser and receive a free fiber optic connection up to their house or apartment during the demand bundling period. All residents in the planned expansion areas have been or will be informed about the fiber optic project.

The new infrastructure will take into account all households in the expansion area, but latecomers will have to bear connection costs of 1,500 euros. Sales representatives of Deutsche Glasfaser will go door to door, contact residents, and inform them on request.

Deutsche Glasfaser is one of the financially strongest providers in the German market, with a private investment volume of over ten billion euros. The German Fibre Group, the company's parent organization, is backed by experienced fiber investors EQT and OMERS.

The company aims for comprehensive fiber optic expansion, significantly contributing to Germany's digital progress. The fiber optic network will allow for fast internet speeds for home office, streaming, online gaming, and video calls. At least 33% of the connectable households in the planned expansion areas must participate and decide on a fiber optic connection for the network to be realized.

Information evenings about the fiber optic project will be held on September 8th and 9th.
