Mexican Consulates Secure Funding for Supporting Detained Nationals

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced that approximately 350 million pesos have been collected for consulate resources through the National Lottery raffle. This funding will be utilised to support Mexican nationals who find themselves in distress, such as the 19 individuals currently detained at the Alligator Alcatraz detention center in Florida.

According to President Sheinbaum Pardo, 23 Mexican nationals have been detained in Georgia. The authorities are focusing their efforts on going after customs agents and military members involved in fuel theft, as 200 arrest warrants have been requested in this regard.
