Gathering takes place in the urban center of Irmgardis

The Irmgardis Festival in Süchtlen is set to kick off this weekend, with a variety of events planned for both Saturday and Sunday.

Artistic Events at Weberhaus

The second "Handmade Market" will take place in the foyer of the Weberhaus, showcasing an array of handmade items such as paper art, gift hangers, designer lamps, decorative items, gemstones, and upcycled works. The works displayed at the Weberhaus will be in acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and pencil, and will be on display from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on both days.

Children can engage in creative activities during the opening hours at the Weberhaus, and there will be a special open dance workshop for children organized by the Marion Schneider dance group at 12:30 PM on Sunday.

The Diane Ettl painting group will exhibit stylistically diverse works under the theme "In the Rausch of Speed" in the hall at the Weberhaus.

Irmgardis Festival Programme

The Irmgardis Festival officially begins on Saturday at 12:00 PM. The stage program on Saturday is yet to be announced, but on Sunday, a live program will be held on the stage at the Lindenplatz from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, presented by moderator Tim van Bergen.

The White Hackle Pipes and Drums will march through the pedestrian zone between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Sunday. The Vierscher Ratpack will perform a stage show in the style of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra from 6:00 PM.

The musical finale of the Irmgardis Festival will be presented by the Top-40 cover band La Vida at 10:00 PM.

Irmgardis Hike

For those who prefer a more active experience, a hike is also on the agenda. The Irmgardis hike starts at 10:00 AM on Sunday at the Helenenbrunnen in Helenabrunn. The hike follows the Irmgardis path via Bockert, Hoser, and the Suchetlen heights, ending at the Koenigsburg in Suchetlen.

Free bus transfers are available from the Suchetlen bus station at 9:30 AM and the Viersen bus station at 9:45 AM for the hike. Apple cake and coffee will be provided for hikers.
