Gathering of the Greatests, or Pinnacle of the Elites
The city of Düsseldorf, affectionately known as "Little Paris," is set to host the ninth edition of its renowned Gourmet Festival. This year, the event promises to be more exciting than ever, with a new attraction: the aerial dining experience, Dinner in the Sky.
The festival will be held over an extended weekend in the heart of the city, with white pagoda tents set up around the Ko-Graben. The picturesque promenade, shaded by trees, will provide a beautiful backdrop for the culinary extravaganza.
Food experts from around the world are expected to attend the festival, and top chefs and grill masters will prepare a gourmet menu for Dinner in the Sky. This unique dining experience will take place at a height of 50 meters, offering diners a breathtaking view of the city.
Dinner in the Sky is available as a brunch, lunch, or dinner option, and caters to vegetarians, vegans, meat-eaters, and pescatarians. Prices for this exclusive dining experience range from 99 to 119 euros.
Unfortunately, all seats for Dinner in the Sky have already been booked. However, visitors can still enjoy a variety of food and drink options on the ground. From steak sandwiches and craft beer to oven-fresh quiche and wine from "Fronkraisch," there's something for everyone.
Interestingly, unlike many other food festivals in the country, there is no entrance fee at the Ko. Payment is only required for the food consumed at the festival.
The Gourmet Festival in Düsseldorf is known as the largest culinary open-air event in all of Europe. The special event, Dinner in the Sky, is organized by Wellfairs GmbH. It is recommended for those without a fear of heights.
Those on the ground can only watch and admire those dining in Dinner in the Sky, making it an exciting spectacle for all attendees. So, if you're in Düsseldorf during the festival, be sure to stop by and enjoy the food, the atmosphere, and the unique aerial dining experience.
